Dr. Hood has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since she was four years old. Her love for animals and passion for helping people led her to the Ontario Veterinary College, where she developed a special interest in internal medicine and end-of-life care. She feels privileged to support families through both the joyful moments and the more challenging decisions that come with caring for their pets.

One of Dr. Hood’s favourite parts of veterinary medicine is building lasting relationships with clients and getting to know each pet as an individual. She believes the best care comes from teamwork, combining her medical knowledge with each family’s insight to create a plan that works best for them.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hood can usually be found doing some sort of watersport, spending time outdoors, or enjoying time with friends and family. 

She cannot wait to meet you and your pets (bonus points if they’re a golden retriever or a small scruffy senior!!).
