Dr. Greg McWatt

Greg McWatt

Dr. Greg McWatt is the owner and Director of Baywood Animal Hospital. He is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College class of 1987. Dr. McWatt is married to Una McWatt and with their three children enjoy being active in the Midhurst and Barrie communities.

Dr. McWatt has a special interest in surgery, orthopedics, ultrasound, and communication issues in veterinary practice. He also is an active member of the Rotary Club of Barrie, a hockey coach in Elmvale, and a veterinary consultant and leader in Oxyfresh Worldwide Inc.

 

 

 

Dr. Carol Phillips

Carol Phillips

Dr. Carol Phillips graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College and 1987.  She joined the Baywood Animal Hospital Team in 1992 and has been practicing here ever since!  Dr. Phillips enjoys working with companion animals and their owners.  She is a general practioner experienced in medicine, surgery and dentistry.

Dr. Phillips is a member of The Georgian Bay Veterinary Association, attending monthly continuing education meetings to keep her skills current.

Dr. Phillips is married to Dr. Ian Cook and they have two sons, Curtis and Adrian.  Dr. Phillips is a certified Yoga teacher and, when not working at Baywood, can often be found teaching Yoga in both Midhurst and Barrie.  Carol also enjoys studying and practicing Yoga, traveling, golfing, camping, canoeing, skiiing, running and spending time with her family.

 

 

Dr. Felicia Uriarte

Dr. Felicia Uriarte graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1995. She practiced briefly in Windsor, Ontario in a small animal and emergency practice. After getting married, she moved to the Simcoe area and continued to practice small animal medicine and surgery.

Dr. Uriarte joined the Baywood Animal Hospital staff in 1998.  She lives in Barrie with her husband, 2 beautiful children and her super dog “Ollie”. She also enjoys outdoor activities, camping, hiking and triathlons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Nathan VanderLinde

Nathan VanderLinde

Dr. VanderLinde is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College class of 2006.  His first year-and-a-half of practice were spent in Prescott, Ontario, in a mixed large-and-small animal clinic.  Desiring to focus more on companion animals, Dr. VanderLinde came to Baywood in September 2007.

His special interests include internal medicine and surgery.  He is commited to continuing education and considers it indispensable in remaining current and developing specific skills.

In his spare time, Dr. VanderLinde enjoys mountain biking, fishing, snowboarding, reading and working on construction projects.  He lives in Barrie with his wife, Jamie, and Manchester Terrier, Gretzky.

 

 

Dr. Ian Cook

Ian Cook

Dr. Ian Cook is a graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College Class of '85 and has recently joined the Baywood Team from another Barrie-area hospital after 18 years of practice. Prior to this, he practiced for 5 years in Thunder Bay.

Dr. Cook is married to another Baywood Veterinarian, Dr. Phillips.  They have two sons.

Dr. Cook enjoys camping, paddling, birding, golf, skiing and hockey. He is also an active member in the Midhurst community.
